Welcome to the  Kainalu  website. 

In the Hawaiian language, Kainalu means "ocean wave" - an appropriate name in view of the frequent mild surf at "Tongg's"- a favorite surf sopt outside the reef in front of the Kainalu.  It is frequented by surfers.  Another nearby surf spot is "Suicide".  The sight and sound of the "kainalu" - ocean waves -  make living at the Kainalu special, especially when accompanied by one of our glorious sunsets.
